The new LFT Van was made possible with the $30,000 grant from Pub Charity.

We wish to take this opportunity to thank you for making this possible.

Emergency Preparedness

Should an emergency strike in Wellington are we prepared? At Laura Fergusson Community Wellington we take this very seriously. It is vital that staff, as well as resident and their family/whanau, know what will happen to their loved one in an emergency situation.
We are providing the following information: Are We Prepared? to outline this process for you . Should you require any further details please feel free to ask one of the management team next time you call or visit.

Strategic Vision

In order for you the consumer and your family/whanau to keep up to date with the latest Strategic Vision for Laura Fergusson Wellington we have uploaded the relevant information in the two forms below. It is a very exciting time for the Trust and we hope that you share our enthusiasm for the future ahead.

Health Passports

Cheryl Graham, a member of the Hutt Valley Community liaison team, visited to explain about health passports. Health Passports have been piloted in the Taranaki district and are being introduced in the Hutt Valley and Capital Coast DHB's.  The Health and Disability Commissioner is encouraging everyone to complete a passport. Originally designed in the UK to assist people with learning disabilities; the Commission feels it will be of benefit to everyone with a disability. The booklets are very much the property of the individual and LFT Wellington is endorsing their use – it is an opportunity for consumers to put in writing their “special” requirements for their personal cares, communication, and mobility needs as well as significant other information, which will endeavour to improve hospital communication and services.
