Planting our Garden

Wow what a great turn out we had for planting the new trees/shrubs/grasses that will make up our newly landscaped areas. Thanks team for your help!

“Getting Our Garden Growing”

It is an exciting time at Laura Fergusson Wellington as we implement our vision of establishing a hub of disability services at our site.
Once our new Abilities Hub and adjacent Therapy Room are completed we will be able to provide additional accommodation and rehabilitation services, community daycare programmes and a publicly available disabled bathroom facility.

To help us safeguard the community feel at Laura Fergusson as we expand we will be establishing quality, accessible gardens around the new buildings.  The final effect will be a garden and environment that is pleasing to our clients and a credit to our neighbourhood. The planned gardens were designed by landscaping experts and the designs and the precise plants to be used have been specifically approved by the Council as part of the consent for our development work.
The plants will vary in type and size from trees at the top end of the scale to herbs at the bottom end.  We have already received some donations, which will help us towards our goal of establishing the garden but we do need further help.   Each of the specified plants ranges in cost from $4, for the smaller plants, all the way up to $150 for each of the rimu trees that we will plant.

We are not able to accept gifts of plants themselves but we would value support to help us purchase and then care for all of these plants.   If you’d like to help this cause, we would welcome any contribution you might be able to make.
To make a donation please contact our office (telephone: 567-6024) or complete this slip and return.
