Fergusson Orchid
The Ladies Auxiliary continue to be the major fundraising vehicle for Laura Fergusson Trust Wellington.
Over the past two years the Ladies Auxiliary Committee have been working closely with Margaret Fergusson, prior to her departure back to England, and renowned Royal Horticultural Society Gold Medallist (London 2008) Botanical Artisit Sue Wickison on producing the painting of The Fergusson Orchid as pictured above. The National Trust Board funded the research of the project which enabled Sue Wickison to complete the beautiful painting.The Orchid was planted many years ago in New Zealand as a tribute to Lady Laura Fergusson by Brigadier Sir Bernard Fergusson.
There are limited edition prints available of the Fergusson Orchid at $40.00 per print. A packs of 5 gorgeous greeting cards with envelopes for $15.00, Bookmarks are also available in a set of 5 for $5.00
